Growth: loyalty, campaigns, and the storefront

The growth layer wraps the operational core with the diner relationship: who eats with you, how they feel about it, what brings them back, and a public storefront for the products your kitchen sells. The staff side lives at Insights → Marketing & growth; diners see it through the diner app and your public store page.

Diner engagement

Team → Dining engagement is the pulse of the people you serve: enrolled diners per site, meal selections and tallies (what's actually being chosen from the menu), satisfaction trends, and diner feedback posts awaiting moderation — nothing a diner writes appears anywhere until a staff member approves it.

Diners connect through the diner app with a site join code: they see the menu (with allergen and diet icons), make meal selections, give feedback, and use their rewards.

Loyalty and rewards

One loyalty program per organization (Pro and Enterprise plans), configured under Marketing & growth:

  • Earn rules — points per dollar, per visit, and per approved review; points accrue automatically from register sales, meal-plan swipes, and moderated reviews. A rewards hiccup can never block a sale — earning is strictly best-effort by design.
  • Tiers — earned on lifetime points; tiers never regress.
  • Rewards catalog — free items, discounts, merch, each with a point cost.
  • Redemptions — a diner cashes points for a reward and gets a short code; staff fulfill by typing the code at the register. Redemption is atomic — points can't be double-spent, and an insufficient balance is refused cleanly.
  • Manual point adjustments (with guardrails: spendable points never go negative) round it out.

Campaigns

Campaigns (Pro and Enterprise plans) message a segment of your diners — filter by site, minimum points, diet flags, or recent activity, and preview exactly who's in the audience before sending. Channels: email, push, and in-app — all deliveries land in the diner's in-app inbox, with email best-effort alongside. Social publishing (Enterprise) queues posts per platform, held until credentials are configured, retryable after. Sent campaigns are immutable — duplicate and edit rather than rewrite history.

Leads

A lightweight pipeline for catering and event inquiries: statuses, an activity log, and automatic capture — every storefront order also lands as a lead, so the follow-up conversation starts with context.

The storefront

A branded public shop page with its own web address (Pro and Enterprise plans): your title, intro, and products — house-made items plus partner-catalog imports — with server-side pricing and public checkout. Orders arrive under Marketing & growth and double into the leads pipeline.

What diners never see

Diner and public surfaces never show billing state: if a plan lapses, the rewards tab simply disappears from the diner app and the public store returns a plain not-found — no paywall, no upgrade nag, nothing leaked.

Tips

  • Moderate feedback daily at first — approvals earn diners their review points, and a responsive first month sets the tone.
  • Preview campaign audiences before sending; segments resolve at send time, so a stale filter can surprise you.
  • Keep the rewards catalog small and attainable — one great free-item reward outperforms a page of aspirational merch.
